Global change is the change that happens in different types of important components of environment. Such as the atmosphere and also the composition of the air. Basically the global change means the change happens in the environmental factors worldwide and change the whole life strategies. For example the increase or the change in the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmospheric region produces different type of toxic chemicals in the environment. Though it is directly related to environmental change but it affects the social life of the people. Global change mostly refers to the bio centrism school of thought.It focuses on the environment. Earth’s climate, biota and ecosystem are changing constantly and they have been changing since life begun billions of years ago. Only recently, though have we begun to understand how these changes are regulated in a global scale. Global change consist of the land , oceans , atmosphere poles life etc .These constituent parts influence one another. The earth system now includes human society,so global change also refers to large scale changes in society.These changes to the human sub system have a direct influence on all components of the Earth system. Concentration of important greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide are rising fast . Due to this ozone layer depletion, Fisheries collapsed, forest are disappeared.So global change is creating problem.It is the burning problem.
Globalization is a difficult term to define because it has come to mean many things.In general globalization refers to the trend towards countries joining together economically, through education,society, politics and viewing themselves not only through their national identity but also as part of the world as a whole. Globalization is said to bring people of all nation together. Globalization reduces poverty worldwide. It is allowing access to technology in developing countries. Globalization mainly focuses on anthropocentric school of thought. It keeps human being in the centre. The current wave of globalization has been driven by policies that have opened economies domestically and internationally. Globalization issue widely only after Second World War. Globalization process develops society and people .It is somehow related to international, industrial and financial business structure. Technology has been the other principal driver of globalization.Though globalization emphasizes on social perspective of people affects the environmental condition too. Because environment is the place where society exists.
Sustainable development is the concept of needs and limitations imposed by technology and society on the environment stability to meet the present and future needs. It is the development t that meets the need of resent without compromising the need of future . It contains within it two concepts- The concepts of need and the concepts of limitation. It is related to the carrying capacity.Sustainable development helps us understand ourselves and our world. There are two school of thoughts regarding the sustainable development. Anthropocentric and Bio centrism. Anthropocentric is a term used to describe philosophical perspective that claim human should be in center of development .It says that human needs and interest are of the highest value and important. Human are considered superior to animals and other non living things for various reasons including their ability to think and speak, plan organize and soon. According to German philosopher“humanization self consciousness “. Human are therefore fundamentally different in rank and dignity from all other being . Anthropocentric considered human as primary important.For all round development first human being should be developing. Other creature and non living things are secondary. Environmental issues on the basis of how they affect human need and attaches primary important to human interest. According to this thought sustainable development is possible only when human are at the center.
Bio-centrism school of thought reveals that all the things on the earth are equally important . All are equal so not only human should be at center but all living and non livings should beat center. It conforms that the facilities and values are allocated equally to all. It does not make anything subside.According to bio centrism school of thought because of anthropocentric it has begun to affect not only the quality of the environment but also the quality and quantity of resources that society is able to extract.This school of thought believes that sustainable development is possible only by bio-centrism theory because if only human are prioritize then there may be more chance of misusing the natural resources. So for the proper utilization and long lasting development bio-centrism thought plays vital role.For example- if all the things are given equal importance then the monopoly of human over other things is cut off and they respect and utilize it properly.
Though the existence of Anthropocentric and bio-centrism is same but they are turning their head to opposite direction .I think that the Anthropocentric school of thought acts more sustainably because human are the only rational being to think and act accordingly. People centered development develops all round development .If people are at the center then only proper utilization is possible .As human are superior to all they should be given chance to perform and act for sustainability. What can other animals or non living things do if human are at the circumstance?Human/people use their ideas, thoughts, experiences and develop the society and nation as a whole. When people are develop economically, socially, culturally, politically then obviously the country will develop. So if people are strong, country is strong,and when people are developed they develop the sustainable development.
